Ms. Richa Singh is an accomplished General Counsel with over 20 years of experience in legal and corporate affairs across healthcare, infrastructure and corporate sectors. She has deep expertise in IPO management, mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, risk mitigation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution and policy development.
As General Counsel of Medanta Group of Hospitals, she has managed legal and corporate affairs across the Medanta group and has advised the board, management, CXOs and business heads on corporate affairs, governance matters, disclosure requirements, SEBI-related issues, related party transactions, compliance management, risk mitigation and strategic legal matters. Her work has supported business growth while ensuring compliance with applicable legal, licensing, regulatory and patient-interest frameworks.
Ms. Singh has played a significant role in Medanta’s capital markets and strategic transaction journey, including the company’s initial public offer, facilitation of strategic investments from Temasek Holdings and Carlyle Group, and debt structuring arrangements with financial institutions. She has also contributed to acquisitions, hospital expansion transactions, joint ventures, concession arrangements, and the structuring of pharmacy, diagnostics and homecare business verticals.
Her responsibilities have extended to risk identification and mitigation, crisis and incident management, litigation and dispute resolution, government and regulatory engagement, contract management and policy development. She has contributed to the implementation of group-wide policies on brand protection, data privacy, ESG, POSH, employee safety, clinical ethics and anti-harassment, and has served on key internal committees.
Prior to Medanta, Ms. Singh worked with Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. (now Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas), advising clients on M&A, takeovers, joint ventures, infrastructure projects and regulatory compliance. She holds a law degree from National Law Institute University, Bhopal, and has been recognised as one of India’s leading General Counsels by multiple legal and industry platforms.
