Prof. Dr. Somashekhar S P is a distinguished oncologist and academic leader with extensive experience in surgical and gynaecological oncology, recognised for advancing clinical excellence and oncology innovation.
He serves as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board at Aster DM Healthcare and Global Director of Oncology, leading oncology programmes across India and international regions.
He holds MBBS, MS and MCh in Oncosurgery, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh and Glasgow), and a recipient of multiple gold medals including university and national recognitions for excellence in oncology.
He has led advanced oncology programmes including HIPEC, PIPAC and robotic surgical techniques, and has been instrumental in developing fellowship programmes in gynaecological oncology, breast oncoplasty and robotic surgery while mentoring surgeons globally.
